On 20th of October 1940, the stalinist agent Ramon Mercader attacked and killed Leon Trotsky at his home in exile in Mexico. In this way, Stalin and his henchmen practically brought to an end his bloody campaign to annihilate the old bolsheviks, the leaders and participants in the October revolution.

The life and death of Leon Trotsky reflects both the history and the tragedy of the Russian revolution, the workers' movement and Marxism itself in the first half of the twentieth century. This is Leon Trotsky's classic memoirs, that he wrote during his exile in Constantinople 1930.
